A senior art director, designer, & artist with 10+ years of experience in both agency and in-house positions. Originally hailing from the Chicago suburbs, many of the skills I refined in the creative world were first developed as a musician in the underground metal and hardcore punk scene ☠️⛓️🖤 designing, and self-releasing albums, booking tours, making logos and merch, working with labels large and small, shooting promotional videos, and organizing DIY shows for the better part of 20 years 🫠
During this time I earned two BFAs from UIC (Graphic Design & Moving Image) and supported myself with freelance 🤺 design work, at both agencies and in-house positions, where I did a little bit of everything 👨🏼💻 This enabled me to regularly tour with my bands and also build a career as an interdisciplinary artist while practicing design.
In 2019, I earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania 💸 with an emphasis on cultural analysis, photography, and video. I taught photo and design classes at UPenn, as well as in youth summer programs, such as Digital Media Academy and National Geographic Student Expeditions ⛰️ I have a strong passion for leading, for sharing knowledge, and for making things collaboratively.
