A senior art director, designer, photographer, and artist who grew up skateboarding, making art, and playing in punk bands. As a result, many of the skills I refined in the creative world were first developed on the mean suburban streets of Chicago's underground hardcore, punk, and metal scenes β οΈβοΈπ€. Designing, and self-releasing albums, booking cross-country tours, making logos, posters, and merch, working with labels large and small, shooting and editing promotional videos, networking, and organizing DIY shows for the better part of 20 years π«
During this time I earned two BFAs from UIC (Graphic Design and Moving Image) and supported myself with freelance design work π€Ί, mostly in hybrid roles where I did a little bit of everything π¨πΌπ», including a lot of web design in the early days.
In 2019, I earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania πΈ with an emphasis on cultural analysis, photography, video, and installation. I taught photo and design classes at UPenn, as well as in youth summer programs, such as Digital Media Academy and National Geographic Student Expeditions β°οΈ. I have a strong passion for leading, for sharing knowledge, for learning with others, and for making things collaboratively.
Recent clients include Capitol One, HSS, Rock Center, Stackwell, Acrisure, MintNFT, and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Healthπ. I get particularly jazzed about conceptual problem solving, campaign creative, pitch decks, social, branding, experimental design, writing, and anything digital.
